This has to be one of the best sticks I have ever made. The shank is constructed from two types of wood - Padauk and Walnut. These have then been hand turned on a lathe to create the elegant shank that you can see. I have then used a pyrography tool to burn in the patterns down the shank and added some real gold paint to finish it off. The handle has been made from a piece of Water Buffalo Horn which I have shaped under heat and pressure to give the lovely hook shape associated with a farmers market stick. Many hours of carving and filing leave me with the finished shape which is then sanded and polished through 12 different stages until the beautiful satin shine is achieved. The handle is then bored out to take the shank which is secured using an acrylic two part resin. I will cut the stick to any length and add a brass ferrule to the tip. Just let me know when ordering. I genuinely have second thoughts about selling this stick but I do have a similar one already in my personal collection.
